During this period, until late  2016, Trixie Pitts was painting at The Art Students League of New York, where she was developing and refining her contemporary art style. She was lucky to have the amazing Larry Poons as her advisor. In late 2016, she relocated after over 10 years in NYC to Nashville.  One of Trixie’s favorite pieces of cryptic advise from Larry is when he told her, “Like Ernest Tubb said, try to say good-bye the way you say hello!”
